Children in the foster care system have been abused, neglected, abandoned, and face tremendous obstacles. Foster parenting is a powerful way to lift the heads of children and show them that there is hope for the future. While a lot of love is a nice thing to provide, foster parents also must have good parenting and communication skills. Being patient, consistent and following through on rules and expectations are all important.
For any foster carer, your main motivation must be to help make a child’s life just that bit more comfortable and happier. To assist you in your journey, we’re here at every stage of your fostering placement to provide you with all the care, support and training you may require.
From daily telephone calls to weekly meetings, and even the opportunity to further your knowledge as a foster carer by undertaking specific courses and qualifications, we’ll always be here for you!
