Why Transfer To Us
Already fostering? We’d love you to consider transferring to us if you think we’re a better fit for your values and you think we can better support your foster family.
We understand that changing agencies is a big decision, particularly if you have children already placed with you. We’ll work closely with your current agency and local authority to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Transfer Process
Step 1: Speak to us and receive all the information you need to make a decision about whether we’re the right agency for you.
Step 2: When you’re ready to transfer, you’ll need to notify your current agency or local authority that you intend to transfer.
Step 3: We’ll introduce you to your assessing social worker who will complete your assessment – we’ll capture all your existing skills and experience that you’ve gained through fostering.
Step 4: We’ll invite you along to our preparatory training course so you can meet our team and some of our foster parents.
Step 5: An independent panel will review your assessment and make a recommendation to our agency decision maker, who will confirm your approval status.
The process is slightly different if you have a child in placement but we can talk to you through this.
